Designed for enquiry-based learning, centred on students’ needs & interests, it is an exciting blend of refurbished heritage cottages & new contemporary architecture. Both the interior and exterior have been designed to support the learning and teaching approaches of the School, through the creation of dynamic physical spaces. The Centre incorporates an abundant use of natural ventilation and light, as part of extensive ESD components, which enhances the School’s ability to offer stimulating learning environments.
Having successfully completed the original Master Plan and implementation of the First Stage (The New Stables), Northholm Grammar School appointed Gardner Wetherill + Associates to review their Master Plan.

In 2008, GWA were commissioned to consider the planning opportunities and prepare a master plan.

We have developed a master plan that provides for the long term educational needs of the school.
The campus is designed as a series of internally and externally focused courtyard spaces that are linked by a continuous network of covered ‘streets’.
The design strategy seeks to unify the campus architecture within a standardised architectural palette.
