Community Consultation.
We value the opportunity to work with a broad cross section of our community to better understand their needs and aspirations..
In the early stages of each project, we often act as facilitators in engaging with the community and gathering their input in order to develop a project brief. In fact, we relish that opportunity because it enriches the project outcome.
We believe that taking the time to understand and embrace the religious, cultural and business aspirations of each stakeholder group leads to a stronger design narrative and in turn promotes project ownership.
As architects, we delight in the knowledge that the places we have designed are embraced by the community and provide a sense of longevity within their context.
Art Strategy.
We help our clients select or commission artworks that enhance their environments and evoke the appropriate sensory response.
From wall hangings to large scale installations and sculptures, we take into consideration the site history, context and appropriateness to the architecture and its inhabitants.
Most recently GWA were commissioned to author a large-scale sculpture for a cemetery client. It was both challenging and (we think) very successful.
